The Fluence edged the second-place Tesla Roadster and several hydrogen fuel-cell cars for the top honor in the Electric Drive Production category, reserved for cars currently in production. Race officials calculated the so-called well-to-wheels carbon output of each car over the course of the circuit. It's the ultimate green machine: a hybrid bike. And it sports-car maker Porsche is the mastermind behind it. Forget the 918 Spyder--this is the hybrid for open-air fans. It's called the Porsche Hybrid RS, a concept mountain bike that has electric-drive assistance with a 30-mile range.
