2011 Fall DE Wrap Up

E-mail Print
John Kopp of Racewerks in Virginia Beach - Our DE Chairperson...Often on the radios and rarely driving a car, John's dedication to our club's track program over the past few years has been immense. We continue to be very fortunate to have John's leadership in FSR. Thank you!

Our DE Committee Members - Chris Stanley (our Tech Chair), John Schwaebler (Tech Team), Alex Bell (CTI), Bob Eveleigh (Co-CTI) and Phil Granfield (my Co-Registrar). Thanks for everything you do before and during our event to help us pull it off! We also received some assistance during this event from a newcomer. Trip McCord's a Green student and friend who jumped in, saw what was needed, and helped immensely with registration every day of this event. Thanks to everyone on the DE team!

Our Classroom Instructors - Tom Bobbitt and Bob Eveleigh. Thanks for your preparation and for sharing your knowledge with our students! We continue to receive positive feedback from our students for your thorough, well-articulated instruction, and we're very appreciative of your contributions. There's a rumor that Tom might not be able to make it next fall. Anyone who sees Tom between now an then MUST ask him to rearrange his life!!! Just kidding. Thanks guys.

Our Volunteers - So appreciated, these are the folks who arrange their schedules to help with registration, tech inspections, and other direction throughout the weekend.

Don Bryant, David & Erin Israel, Steve Safarty, Bret Jacobson, and the rest of our cookout organizers & chefs. And thanks to Anne Keller for the keg of adult beverage! What a wonderful time we all had trackside at our "Almost Famous Saturday Night Cookout"!
We've had a chance to review your comments and evaluations, and we truly appreciate your feedback! Thanks to everyone for taking the time to complete the event, student and instructor evals. We'll be working a few of your suggestions into next year's events.

Speaking of next year, our Spring DE should open for registration mid to late February, and we're looking forward to another spectacular event in May. One piece of advice...when it opens up, don't wait! Sign up immediately. Our last May's event filled up in less than 4 weeks. So when you see we're open, get registered right away!

Thanks again to all involved in making our Fall DE so fantastic. We look forward to seeing you in May!

Best regards,

Kevin Pirkle
