Dannmar MaxJax portable two-post lift 9 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
Just finished installing a Dannmar "Max Jax" lift. I thought this might be of general interest, since it's designed for small garages where you may not have a high ceiling and/or you don't want something permanently installed.

You can read the mfr's site for the specifics, but here are the highlights:
  • Two post hydraulic lift with adjustable arms
  • Posts bolt to concrete floor when in use; unbolt and roll away when done
  • Max load 6000 lbs
  • Max rise 45" (which is why it works with low ceilings)
  • Requires minimum 3000 psi, 4" thick concrete slab

I set up a public Facebook photo album with some pics of the installation process, plus a couple of videos of the lift in action after the install:
