A Spirited Car Tour of European Marques
The third annual EuroSport Tour DC event, held on June 10th, 2012, will bring many of Europe’s famous marques together for a day of engine revving mischief through the back roads of Maryland and Virginia. The event will begin at Ferrari/Maserati of Washington (FOW) and includes a technical review of the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador. The event’s invited marques include Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, Maserati, Aston Martin, and Lotus. EuroSport DC is working with the clubs of these marques to create a day that celebrates the beauty and uniqueness of each brand. It is rare to witness an event that combines us as one. Imagine the excitement of driving your car next to a Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona or a Porsche 911 GT2 RS on a tour route that inspires enthusiasm. It’s the event’s goal that each driver will be amazed by the view in their rear mirror.
“It’s all about the cars really. The car passion is in all of our blood. The event is intended to allow us all to share our passion with liked minded people within the European car community,” explains Kevin Sims, the event organizer. “We all love to open up the throttle and have some fun, so let’s do it together. Where else can you compare the exhaust notes of so many European greats during a single event?”
The event’s main reason for being is its car tour that will begin at Ferrari/Maserati Washington in Dulles, VA. Registration will be open from 7:30 am to 8:30 am. Prior to departing on the tour, FOW and Lamborghini Washington will conduct a technical review of the Lamborghini Aventador. Tour participants will be served breakfast and coffee to fuel them up for the drive.
A Bar-B-Q lunch will be served at Seneca Creek State Park in Gaithersburg, MD to satisfy the appetite created by the afternoon of spirited driving. Also, we will be hosting a concours at Seneca Creek State Park along with a People’s Choice Award contest. There will be an award bestowed to a proud owner within the Porsche, Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, and Lotus marques.
The event’s cost is $40 per person prior to the day of the event. It is advised to pre-register for the event. Registrations received on June 10th, 2012 will be charged additional $5 per person.
To book in advance, mail a check to Autobahn Ambition, P.O. Box 414, Oakton, VA 22124. Make the checks payable to Autobahn Ambition. Please include a note with the number of people attending the event, the make and model of car(s) participating, a mailing address, phone number and an e-mail address. Once the registration is received, an email will be sent to confirm the details of the party. We are told to bring the confirmation email to the event.
