Pippin Hill Scenic Driving Tour

Join Lynne Taylor and Sherry Westfall of the Shenandoah Region PCA for a relaxing spring afternoon of great food, socializing, and scenic driving through the beautiful central Virginia countryside. This event is designed specifically to encourage our lady Porsche members to participate in club events, get to know each other, and ideally get them behind the steering wheel of a Porsche. However, you need not drive or ride in a Porsche (or be a woman) to be part of the fun. The whole family is invited, but ladies are encouraged to drive.

We’ll start at the Pippin Hill Farm and Vineyards in North Garden with a light but elegant luncheon. (Each person will pay for her or his own meal.) Afterward we will enjoy the scenic pastoral roads of Albemarle and Nelson counties for about an hour and then say our goodbyes at the King Family Vineyards in Crozet.

Date: Sunday, April 29, 2012 (Rain or shine)

Times:

Lunch: 1:00 PM
Drivers’ Meeting: 2:15 PM
Tour Departure: 2:30 PM

Please RSVP to Lynne Taylor at pls5@cdc.gov or (434) 823-1799 by Friday, April 27, so that she can provide a head count to Pippin Hill for lunch. Let her know who will be coming to lunch and on the drive. If you are planning to go on the drive, let her know if you would like to be a passenger, take a passenger, or drive on your own.

For additional information and links to maps and driving directions, visit the Shenandoah web site at http://shn.pca.org.

All adults and minors who go on the driving tour must sign the appropriate PCA insurance waiver forms, which will be provided at the event.
