Driver’s Education (DE) events allow us to learn more about our Porsches, to learn more about ourselves and, above all, to have fun.

The mission and purpose of the Porsche Club of America’s Driver’s Education Program is to provide a safe, structured and controlled teaching and learning environment.

The PCA driver education program is the most popular program in PCA. The sporting nature of the Porsche automobile and the ability to drive it at speed attracts Porsche drivers to these type of events.

The PCA Drivers Education Committee, in conjunction with the PCA Executive Council, has developed a set of Minimum Standards to be used as a common set of safety based rules upon which to build and improve regional DE programs.

Automotive engineers define understeer and oversteer based on changes in steering angle associated with changes in lateral acceleration over a sequence of steady-state circular turning tests.
